Zack Greinke Goes On Injured List
3 years agoThe Kansas City Royals placed starting pitcher Zack Greinke (forearm) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with a right flexor strain. In a corresponding move, the Royals recalled left-hander Foster Griffin from Triple-A Omaha. The team also reinstated outfielder Kyle Isbel from the injured list and selected the contracts of right-handers Arodys Vizcaino and Jose Cuas from Omaha. Greinke was injured in his latest start on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins, and he'll miss a couple turns in the rotation. The 38-year-old right-hander is still looking for his first win of the season and is sporting a 5.05 ERA, a 1.35 WHIP, 10 walks and 25 strikeouts through 51 2/3 innings over 10 starts for the Royals in 2022.
