The Texas Rangers activated infielder Jake Burger (wrist) from the 10-day injured list with rosters expanding on Monday. The team also reinstated right-handed reliever Chris Martin (calf) from the 15-day IL. The Rangers have not released their starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the hosting Arizona Diamondbacks, so it's unclear if Burger is back in the starting lineup. Now that he's back on the big-league roster, he's likely to serve in the short side of a platoon at first base with Rowdy Tellez against left-handed pitching. The 29-year-old right-handed power hitter hit 34 home runs in 2023 with the White Sox and Marlins and almost returned to the 30-homer mark last year in Miami. However, he has just 12 long balls and 41 RBI in 84 games in 2025 in his first year in Texas and has been on the IL multiple times.--Keith Hernandez
