Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski has been activated from injured reserve and will return to the lineup as his team takes on the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old, who injured his shoulder in a collision back on November 30th versus the New York Islanders, was originally expected to miss four weeks. Given his insertion back into the Jackets lineup on Tuesday, Werenski has trimmed that timetable to just two and a half weeks. The offensive defenseman was red-hot before his injury - collecting 10 points (three goals, seven assists) over a 10-game span. Checking in with 16 points (six goals, 10 assists), seven power-play points and 65 shots through 26 contests, Werenski should immediately find himself re-inserted into fantasy lineups.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
