Zach Neto Hitting Leadoff Against Red Sox
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto is starting at shortstop and hitting leadoff for the Halos in Sunday's series finale against the Boston Red Sox and right-hander Garrett Whitlock. The team's No. 2-ranked prospect, per MLB Pipeline, will be making his second big-league start on Sunday after getting called up by the Angels this weekend. The 22-year-old will be looking for his first MLB hit against Boston after going hitless in his debut on Saturday. The former first-round pick hit .299/.377/.476 with an .853 OPS, five home runs, 27 RBI, five stolen bases and 24 runs scored in 37 games at High-A Tri-City and Double-A Rocket City last year. Neto should be able to provide some immediate fantasy contributions with his power at a premium position, but expect some inconsistency.
