1 year agoJapanese free-agent right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto has already met with the New York Yankees, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants and will meet with the Boston Red Sox in the coming days, according to a source. Two or three more teams, including the Toronto Blue Jays, will also likely meet with Yamamoto before he makes a final decision on a team. Now that two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yamamoto is the biggest free-agent name out there, and he's expected to sign a contract in the $300 million range as he makes his journey to the United States. Yamamoto probably won't choose a team for another couple weeks, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that he'll head to the Dodgers to join forces with fellow countryman Ohtani.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
