Yordan Alvarez Back In Action Monday
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (knee) is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third for the Astros on Monday against the Texas Rangers and left-hander Andrew Heaney. Alvarez banged his knee in Sunday's game against the New York Yankees, but he won't have to miss any time. The 26-year-old left-handed-hitting Cuban slugger should remain in all starting fantasy lineups for a crucial series with the Rangers this week. He has gone 14-for-32 (.438) with two home runs, three doubles, nine RBI and four runs scored in his last eight starts since Aug. 26. Alvarez is also hitting a strong .319 (37-for-116) with six of his 23 home runs against left-handed pitchers this year.
