Yonathan Daza Triples In Loss To The Athletics
4 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Yonathan Daza went 2-for-5 with a triple, an RBI, a run scored, and a strikeout in a 9-5 loss to the Oakland A's on Friday. Daza started in center field and hit out of the number two hole for the fifth straight game. He smacked his first triple of the season off of Frankie Montas in the top of the third inning to score Raimel Tapia. He also picked up a single in the contest. The 27-year-old is working on a six-game hitting streak and has picked up four multi-hit performances over that span. He's slashing a hefty .331/.371/.406 with one home run, 13 RBI, and two stolen bases over 133 at-bats. He probably won't keep up this torrid pace but he's an intriguing deep-league option as long as he keeps hitting near the top of the Rockies' batting order. He's a name to keep an eye on at the very least.
