Yankees No Longer in the Market for Eugenio Suarez?
Eugenio Suarez and are now focused more on names like St. Louis Cardinals infielder Brendan Donovan, Minnesota Twins utility man Willi Castro and Los Angeles Angels third baseman Yoan Moncada, according to sources. The Yankees pulled off a trade to acquire Ryan McMahon from the Colorado Rockies to fill their void at third base on Thursday, so it makes sense as to why they have backed off from Suarez in favor of players that can play multiple positions elsewhere on the diamond. Suarez is still fully expected to be dealt by the July 31 trade deadline, but it doesn't look like he'll be headed to the Bronx. He's having one of the best years of his career and is tied for fourth in homers (36) while leading the league with 87 RBI.
