3 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Xavier Jones, a former undrafted free agent, may quietly be one of the team's better assets this fall, depending on Darrell Henderson Jr.'s health and the depth at the position. The team's decision (for now) not to look outside the organization to replace Cam Akers (Achilles) points strongly toward their faith in Jones. Jake Funk, a seventh-round pick this year, has surprising explosive athletic traits despite recovering from two ACL injuries in college. As long as he stays healthy, he will almost certainly make the final roster now and can contribute on special teams. Henderson has clear RB2 value with Akers out for the season, but Jones is worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues as a handcuff to Henderson, who has had durability issues in recent seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
