4 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will shift his focus to first base during summer camp, according to manager Charlie Montoyo. "He's going to focus on 1B and DH," Montoyo said. Third base will be an option for Vlad, but it won't be his primary position anymore. Nobody realistically expected Guerrero to remain at third base his whole career, but the Blue Jays are doing it earlier than expected. Expect Travis Shaw to flip flop with him at the corner infield spots. Eligibility at first base will make Vlad slightly more attractive in fantasy, and he's a fine target at either third or first once the elite names come off the board for those hoping for a second-year breakout. A full season at first base and designated hitter will give the 21-year-old a better chance to stay healthy as well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
