The Anaheim Ducks have acquired goaltender Ville Husso from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for cash considerations. Husso will report to their AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls. Husso has been playing in the AHL since mid-January after being demoted from the Detroit roster. Before being optioned, Husso held a poor 1-5-2 record with a .868 save percentage and a 3.69 GAA across nine contests. In his last NHL outing, Husso allowed five goals on 23 shots. Even though John Gibson (upper body) is currently day-to-day, he is not expected to be out much longer. As a result, Husso will likely remain in the AHL for the foreseeable future. He enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2021, where he held a .919 save percentage with a 2.56 GAA, but has yet to return to that level of play.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
