Winnipeg Jets defenseman Ville Heinola scored his first career goal in a 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Patrik Laine and Mark Scheifele added three assists each, while Nikolaj Ehlers, Tucker Poolman and Neal Pionk chipped in with the other goals. This was the rookie Heinola's third point of the season in three games, adding the offensive defenseman need that the Jets lacked after the departure of Jacob Trouba. A huge positive for the Jets and his fantasy owners is that Laine continues to build chemistry with his new linemates Scheifele and Wheeler. The bridge deal that Laine signed could prove to be a huge success if he can put in some career years playing on a line with those stars. --Nate Duffett
