Tyler Lockett Only Has One Catch In Philadelphia
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett was fully cleared by the doctors for his shin contusion before hitting the field on Sunday, but he didn't play a huge role as he only hauled in one pass on the day. Granted, that pass was for 38 yards, enough to lead the team's receiving corps in yards for the day, but only one catch is far from ordinary for Lockett. Head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Russell Wilson seemed to team up to give unexpected attention to backup players on Sunday, letting Rashaad Penny play the role of primary running back and fifth-string wideout Malik Turner being targeted for a deep pass on a flea flicker. Expect Lockett to get more of his regular chances next Monday when the Vikings come to town.
