Chicago Cubs manager David Ross said Monday that Trey Mancini and Patrick Wisdom (groin) are "the first guys that come to mind" as fill-ins for right field if Seiya Suzuki (oblique) ends up having to miss time with a left oblique injury. Mancini, who was signed this off-season, has played outfield throughout his career in addition to first base. Wisdom is a primary third baseman but did see a bit of time in the outfield for the Cubs last season. It is of note that Wisdom was a late scratch from Monday's Cactus League with left groin soreness. Mancini had an uninspiring 2022 season, slashing .239/.319/.391 with 18 home runs and 63 RBI with the Orioles and the Astros. However, he does own a career .265/.330/.457 slash line, so it is possible that he could provide some fantasy value if he sees enough playing time.--Connelly Doan
