Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams lasted just four innings and allowed four runs in a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. The outing got off to a bad start when Williams allowed a home run to the first batter of the game, Matt Carpenter, and the right-hander was never able to steady the ship. He allowed seven hits on the night, including three for extra bases, and struck out only three. Williams has started to fall back to earth over his last two starts, seeing his ERA rise from 2.72 to 3.43. He'll try to get back on track in his next start against the Cardinals on Thursday.--Matt Wilkes
