3 months agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that it's highly unlikely that wide receiver Trent Taylor (foot) will be ready to play in Week 1. There's a chance Taylor could miss more than just the regular season opener, so he's one to avoid in most fantasy drafts. The 25-year-old had 26 receptions for only 215 yards and a touchdown in 14 games in 2018. With both Taylor and possibly Jalen Hurd out to begin the season, it should mean more work for Jordan Matthews in the slot. Matthews has put up numbers before in the NFL, but he's nothing more than a late-round flier without much upside in deeper leagues. Rookie Deebo Samuel could also have an expanded early-season role.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
