Trent Grisham Poised To Return This Weekend
Trent Grisham (hamstring) will return this weekend against the Texas Rangers. Out since March 11, Grisham has been getting live at-bats at the alternate site and looks ready to resume his role as the Friars everyday center fielder. The 24-year-old posted a 121 wRC+ with 10 homers and steals apiece in 252 plate appearances last season while winning his first Gold Glove. Grisham's plus hit tool should play well for fantasy managers atop a strong Padres lineup. His return will slide outfielder Tommy Pham back to left field while utilityman Jurickson Profar will come off the bench. Upstart prospect infielder Tucupita Marcano could be the casualty sent down to make room for Grisham's activation.
