Top Prospect Brendan Rodgers Heads Back To Minors
7 years agoColorado Rockies stud middle infield prospect Brendan Rodgers is on his way to the minors once again. Rodgers has already been the organization's top prospect for a couple of years now, and the 21-year-old held his own in spring training this year. He suffers from the same conundrum a lot of Rockies prospects suffer from, which is an absence of an available roster spot at the big league level. Rodgers was initially a premiere shortstop prospect, but assuming Trevor Story can keep his head above water, it's looking more like Rodgers is being converted into a second baseman to take over for DJ LeMahieu next season. Injuries can always change a prospect's ETA, but for now, it looks like he's purely a dynasty play for 2018.
