Tony Wolters Hits First Home Run of 2018
7 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Tony Wolters is definitely not getting playing time because of his offense, but he’s been particularly bad so far this year. Wolters has worked as Chris Iannetta’s regular backup, so he’s getting plenty of playing time, but his atrocious triple slash is .140/.240/.209. He finally had a bright spot on Friday as he hit his first dinger of the year, and his incredible .167 BABIP indicates that at least some better times should be on the horizon. However, he still shouldn’t be owned outside of the deepest 2-catcher NL-only leagues.
