5/21:New York Mets third baseman Todd Frazier (hamstring) is stepping up his rehab and is hitting for the first time in five to six days on Monday. Frazier has been on the disabled list for about two weeks due to a left hamstring strain. As of Saturday, he said he’s still feeling it when he runs and was unsure about a timetable for his return. Frazier will still require some sort of minor league rehab assignment before he’s able to make it back to the big leagues, but Monday is a big step in the right direction. Frazier was batting .237/.357/.412 with five home runs, 18 runs scored and 21 RBI across 114 at-bats prior to suffering the injury.--John Smith
