Tim Anderson Getting A Day Off
1 year agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is not in the starting lineup on Sunday as the team takes on the visiting Boston Red Sox. Anderson recently missed five games earlier this week with a shoulder injury, and when he returned on Friday and Saturday, the White Sox had him playing second base. It looks like the 30-year-old is just getting a day of rest on Sunday, so fantasy managers should expect him back in the lineup on Monday for the series opener on the road against the Los Angeles Angels. Anderson continues to disappoint in 2023. He has yet to homer and has two hits in his last 30 at-bats over his last nine games to drop his season average to .241. Elvis Andrus is manning the 6 on Sunday and is hitting eighth against Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford.
