Tiger Woods Goes Low In First Round Of BMW
6 years agoGolf fans have been waiting for Tiger Woods to put a complete round together. The world saw what the 42-year-old is still capable of Thursday afternoon at Aronimink Golf Club. Woods shot an electrifying eight-under par 62 in the opening round of the BMW Championship and is tied for the first round lead with Rory McIlroy. Woods got off to a hot start, firing a six-under 29 on his opening nine holes and getting to seven-under through 10 holes. He has been consistently sharp with his irons throughout the season and found some magic on the greens Thursday after reinserting his old Scotty Cameron putter back in the bag earlier this week. The 62 is Tiger's lowest opening round score since 1999 and his best 18-hole round since the 2013 WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
