6/8:Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez had a rough go of things on Wednesday against the New York Yankees, finishing 0-for-5 while getting the dubious honor of wearing the golden sombrero with four strikeouts. While he didn’t have a monster rebound effort on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles, his showing was good enough in a 5-4 victory. Hernandez finished 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a walk. Given Hernandez’s lack of plate discipline, the walk was nice to see, as it was his first since May 20. We definitely aren’t expecting Hernandez to turn into an on-base percentage machine, but we are looking for signs to indicate he might start hitting again like he did early on. If he can string a few more good games together, we’ll be back on board.--John Smith
