Taysom Hill Feared To Have Suffered Torn Tendon In Finger
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill (finger) is feared to have suffered a torn tendon in his middle finger in the Thursday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys that may require surgery at some point, according to sources. More tests are coming on Friday. The injury, which is called mallet finger, was the same injury that Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson dealt with earlier this year. Hill went 19-for-41 for 264 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions in his first start of 2021, adding 11 carries for 101 yards. The 31-year-old looked pretty awful throwing the football, but it also must be pretty hard to throw a football accurately if he was indeed playing with a torn tendon in the finger on his throwing hand. Hill's first start of 2021 could also be his last if he needs surgery. Trevor Siemian had his moments in a few games before Hill got his shot, but he'll be a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues if he returns to the starting role in Week 14.
