Sungjae Im Searching For Consistency At WM Phoenix Open
Sungjae Im has been up and down to start 2025 with finishes of T33, T4, a missed cut, and a third-place finish in his first four events. He now shifts his focus to the WM Phoenix Open, where he has competed five times previously. Im placed T66 in 2024, but his prior four results included three top-20 finishes. TPC Scottsdale rewards driving, an area where Im excels. He currently ranks 14th in strokes gained off the tee and 27th in driving accuracy. The concern for Im lies in his approach play, where he ranks 163rd, including 119th from 150-175 yards -- a range that accounts for 24.2% of all approach shots at Scottsdale. Im will need to improve his approach game, but his driving ability makes him an intriguing option for fantasy managers at $9,800 on DraftKings.
