Strong Chance Sterling Shepard Sits Out In Week 8
5 years agoThere is a "strong possibility" that New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) remains out in Week 8 against the Lions, according to head coach Pat Shurmur. Shepard could still get cleared from the league's concussion protocol on Friday, but that seems unlikely with the team taking extra precaution since Shepard has had two concussions in a limited window this year. With Shepard likely out again this weekend, Golden Tate should once again see a healthy number of targets in a good matchup against a Detroit team that just got roasted through the air by the Vikings. Darius Slayton is worth a stab in DFS and deeper leagues, too, as the No. 2 receiver with Shepard out.
