8/17:New York Mets left-hander Steven Matz had a rough outing on Thursday against the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 2 of a doubleheader. Matz lasted just two innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits. He struck out two. The southpaw needed 58 pitches to complete the two innings, and it was clear he was rusty in his return. Even before his injury, Matz was not in great form. In his last four starts, Matz sports a 1-3 record with an ugly 13.17 ERA. Matz will likely take the mound next week at home against the San Francisco Giants.--Adam Young - RotoBaller
