Spencer Howard Settles For No-Decision Versus Marlins
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Spencer Howard allowed one run in four innings while taking a no-decision Thursday at Miami. Howard was cruising in this one as he put up zeros in each of the first four innings. The righty ran into trouble in the fifth inning, however, and was pulled after loading the bases with no one out. One of his runners would score to sour what was shaping up to be a nice afternoon for the rookie. Howard did rack up four K's in the game and earned six swinging strikes on 66 pitches for a strong 11 percent SwStr%. Howard is a solid pitcher to roster in fantasy, but has a brutal matchup next time out in Cincinnati.
