Shohei Ohtani's Elbow Is Fine
Shohei Ohtani's elbow is fine, and he didn't need X-rays on his finger or an MRI exam on his back or elbow after his start on Sunday. He is currently being evaluated to see when he can hit again, but his next scheduled start on the mound would be Sunday against the White Sox. Ohtani's fastball velocity was done in a shortened start on Sunday, but it wasn't due to his elbow. The Angels might play it safe and keep him from hitting before his next start this weekend. Ohtani should be penciled in for his next start against the rebuilding White Sox, and hopefully he can go longer into the game.
