Scottie Scheffler Aims For A Strong Rebound At Torrey Pines
Scottie Scheffler was making a late push at the WM Phoenix Open but had a rough back nine on Sunday, settling for a T25 finish. This was Scheffler's second tournament since injuring his hand over Christmas, and it seems any issues are more mental than physical. He now looks ahead to the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines, a course where he most recently finished T20 in 2022 and T7 in 2021. This week, driving distance, accuracy, and proximity from 150-plus yards will be crucial. Scheffler ranked second in total driving in 2024 and is in the 98th percentile in proximity to the hole from 150-200 yards over the last 12 months, a distance that accounts for 39.6% of all approach shots at Torrey Pines. He is worth his $12,300 price tag on DraftKings, as Scheffler should once again find himself in contention this week.
