5 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is already out of his walking boot. Barkley said this weekend that he thinks he can be back sooner than his four- to eight-week timetable for a high ankle sprain, and this news seems to confirm that sentiment. However, the Giants will be extremely cautious with their star running back, especially after backup Wayne Gallman filled in admirably with a rushing and receiving score in Week 4 against the Redskins. Barkley needs to be stashed everywhere, but his owners are certainly hoping he's correct in that he'll return sooner than later.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
