Ryan Preece of RFK Racing will start in the second position after qualifying for this week's race, the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. This will be Preece's first start on the front row of any race since April 2023 at Martinsville when he won the pole position. In 10 previous starts at Darlington, Preece has six top-20 finishes, with none of them being inside the top 10. Through seven races so far this season, Preece has five top-20 finishes, including three consecutive top-10 finishes during the last three Cup events for the first time ever in his career. In practice, Preece ranked 12th in overall lap averages while showing great speed during the long run as he ranked second of all drivers in 20, 25, and 30 consecutive lap averages. Preece starting on the front row makes him a huge Place Differential risk, but his practice speeds on the long run, making him a driver worth consideration for tournament lineups at best this week.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
