Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis scored his second goal of the season in Monday's 2-1 win over Buffalo, netting on a power play. Roman Josi and Ryan Johansen helped him out with the assists. Ellis had a 16-goal outbreak in 2016-17 and he recorded nine goals in 44 games last season, but things simply haven't worked out for him offensively this year. However, he's a key defensive piece on a team that limited the opposition to less than two goals for the ninth time this season on Monday. The Preds also lead the league with a 2.34 goals-against average.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
