Historically, Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney has never fared well at Darlington. In five starts at the South Carolina track, Blaney’s best finish was 13th, which he scored last year and in 2016. Blaney also picked up negative place differential in three of his five starts at Darlington, including last year’s race. The driver of the No. 12 Ford also has the fourth-most fastest laps of all drivers so far this season (60). Darlington is one of Blaney’s weaker tracks on the NASCAR circuit and he starts close enough to the front (seventh), where he becomes a risky play that can lose place differential. Overall, there are better and cheaper drivers that should be used in lineups ahead of Blaney this week.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
