Royce Freeman Questionable For Week 16
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Royce Freeman (hip) was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday and will be questionable for Week 16 against the division-rival Chargers. Freeman is trending in the right direction to play this weekend, and he will be looking at an expanded role after the Broncos placed Phillip Lindsay (hip, knee) on Injured Reserve on Saturday. However, Freeman still will not have standalone fantasy value as the complementary backfield piece behind lead-back Melvin Gordon III. The biggest takeaway from Lindsay's placement on IR is that Gordon will now see the lion's share of backfield touches the final two weeks, starting this Sunday against his former team, the Chargers. Avoid Freeman and consider Gordon to be a low-end RB2/high-end RB2 now.
