3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Royce Freeman is currently listed third on the running back depth chart with Mike Boone (quadriceps) set to miss four to six weeks. With Boone and Melvin Gordon III (groin) out in the preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings last Saturday, Freeman rushed the ball five times for 33 yards (6.6 yards per carry). He also caught both of his targets through the air for 14 yards. The 25-year-old entered training camp on the roster bubble after the additions of Boone and rookie Javonte Williams, but with Boone's status now up in the air for Week 1, it looks like Freeman will make the team. He won't have any fantasy value unless Gordon or Williams also suffer an injury, but he could see plenty more work in this weekend's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
