Royals Put Danny Duffy, Brady Singer On Injured List
3 years agoThe Kansas City Royals placed starting pitchers Danny Duffy (forearm) and Brady Singer (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and recalled infielder Ryan McBroom and right-hander Tyler Zuber from Triple-A Omaha in corresponding moves. Duffy is going back on the injured list with a flexor strain, and it likely kills any trade value he might've had just ahead of the deadline. The 32-year-old southpaw has been good when on the mound this year (2.51 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 65 K's in 61 innings), but he could be facing an extended absence this time around. Singer is dealing with shoulder fatigue after allowing seven runs in two-plus innings his last time out against the Orioles. The right-hander's injury doesn't sound serious, but he's not a must-hold in mixed leagues with a 5.13 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 92/37 K/BB in 87 2/3 innings over 19 starts in his second major league season.
