Ronald Jones II's Status Up In The Air For Divisional Round
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that he doesn't know if running back Ronald Jones II (quadriceps) will be able to play on Sunday in the Divisional Round against the New Orleans Saints. Arians said that Jones was fine last Thursday and Friday but was a little sore. The running back didn't feel like he could "open up" on Saturday, so he didn't play at all despite being active. Consider the 23-year-old highly questionable for now, and even if he's active, he could take a back seat to Leonard Fournette, who racked up 132 total yards and a touchdown in the wild-card win over Washington. Rookie Ke'Shawn Vaughn and veteran LeSean McCoy could have bigger roles behind Fournette if Jones cannot play. The Saints Defense allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to RB2 in 2020, however, so this is an extremely difficult matchup for Tampa's ground game.
