Romeo Doubs To Have Bigger Role In Week 3?
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs is "going to have to take more of a load this week." Receivers Allen Lazard (ankle), Randall Cobb (illness), Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and Christian Watson (hamstring) could all be questionable to play in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, which would force Doubs into a bigger role on offense. Through two games, the fourth-round rookie has six receptions on eight targets for 64 yards. He played 57 percent of the snaps in Week 1 before dropping to 37 percent in the Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears. It remains to be seen which receivers will be available to the Packers on Sunday, but even with a bigger role, Doubs will be a deep-league flex option, at best, against a tough Buccaneers defense.
