Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony and infielder Marcelo Mayer are not in Sunday's lineup when they face Yankee left-hander Max Fried. Anthony has only made one start against a left-hander since joining the major league roster. While Anthony could ultimately earn a full-time role in the Boston lineup, it appears the Red Sox are being cautious with his playing time and keeping him on the strong side of a platoon. Fellow top prospect Mayer has also been typically held out of action when facing left-handed pitching. Since joining the majors, Mayer has only made two starts against lefties. Despite the limited playing time, Mayer has begun to heat up, posting a strong .313 AVG over his last eight games. Anthony has held a low .063 AVG through his first five games. Fantasy managers should expect both budding stars to return to the lineup on Monday when they begin a series against the Seattle Mariners.--Andy Smith
