The Colorado Rockies and hitting coach Dave Magadan have mutually agreed to part ways following the 2022 season. Third base coach/infield coach Stu Cole has also been reassigned to a minor league staff position. The moves come after the Rockies finished 68-94 and in last place in the National League West. The 60-year-old Magadan had been the team's hitting coach since 2019. In 2022, Colorado led the league in home OPS at .803, but they were last in road OPS at .621. They were also last in MLB in road home runs (51) and finished in a tie for 10th at home with 98. The Rockies also struggled defensively this year, tying for fourth in baseball with 100 errors. Manager Bud Black and the rest of his coaching staff will be retained heading into next year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
