Rob Refsnyder Serving As DH Against Reds
6 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Rob Refsnyder (knee) will serve as the team's designated hitter and will bat in the two-hole on Sunday to face off against the Cincinnati Reds and left-hander Nick Lodolo. In his only career at-bat against Lodolo, Refsnyder hit a solo home run. The 33-year-old veteran missed each of the team's last three games due to right-knee soreness, but he's feeling better now and is ready to give it a go in the series finale in Cincinnati. In a pinch-hitting appearance on Saturday, Refsnyder came through with an RBI single and is now hitting an impressive .324 (45-for-139) on the season, albeit with only two home runs, 18 RBI and 16 runs scored. So far in June, he's slashing .308/.383/.385 with four RBI. Refsnyder is getting it done at the plate but doesn't carry much counting-stat upside for fantasy managers and faces a tough matchup on Sunday.
