The Vegas Golden Knights jumped out to a 2-0 series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks in Round 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs with a 4-3 overtime win on Thursday. Reilly Smith, who scored twice in Game 1, had the winning goal in overtime. Paul Stastny, Tomas Nosek, and Mark Stone also scored goals for Vegas. Both Stastny and Smith chipped in helpers, too. Jonathan Marchessault had two assists. Chicago had a much better performance in the Game 2 and received goals from Kirby Dach, Dominik Kubalik, and Dylan Strome. All three goals were scored in the second period. Patrick Kane assisted on all three goals. Corey Crawford stopped 35 of 39 shots in the loss.
