The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night by a score of 4-1 to take the first game of the Western Conference round one matchup. Reilly Smith scored two goals and added an assist. Shea Theodore and William Carrier also found the back of the net. Jonathan Marchessault had two assists. Starting over Marc-Andre Fleury, Robin Lehner was solid in net for Vegas and he stopped 19 of 20 shots. Chicago's lone goal was scored by David Kampf on a short-handed opportunity. Veteran defender Duncan Keith had a rough night and was a minus-4 on the night. Corey Crawford had a busy game in net and stopped 30 of 34 shots.
