Reds Activate Jake Fraley From Injured List
1 year agoThe Cincinnati Reds activated outfielder Jake Fraley (wrist) from the 10-day injured list on Sunday and optioned outfielder T.J. Hopkins to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Fraley is back in left field and is hitting fifth in Sunday's lineup against right-hander Ronel Blanco and the Houston Astros. The 28-year-old is back after missing just 10 days due to a right-wrist contusion, and he should return to a regular role in Cincinnati's outfield. Before landing on the injured list, Fraley was hitting .262 (45-for-172) with eight doubles, seven home runs, 38 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 23 runs scored in 55 games played (197 plate appearances). He had gone 7-for-19 (.368) with two homers, three RBI and four steals in six games in June before his injury.
