Ravens Defense Will Bring Pressure Against Bills
4 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens Defense doesn't plan to change their blitz-heavy approach against Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen in the Divisional Round matchup this Saturday night. Allen was among the best QBs at handling pressure in 2020, with the Ravens having blitzed an NFL-high 41 percent of the time this season. Allen has thrown a league-leading 19 touchdowns against pressure this year. The 24-year-old signal-caller was named to his first Pro Bowl after becoming the first QB to surpass 4,500 yards passing, 35 passing TDs and five rushing touchdowns in a single season. Allen was held to his second-lowest completion rate of his career (43.6 percent) on 17-for-39 passing and was sacked six times in a loss to Baltimore in 2019, and the Ravens D is hoping to do something similar this weekend. Allen will have a challenge against the Ravens, but his athleticism, improved accuracy and decision-making and dual-threat ability with his arm and legs will continue to make him a popular DFS choice in the postseason.
