Rashod Bateman Practicing This Week
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) joined the team on Monday for the first practice of organized team activities. He will likely be eased back in training camp this summer, but it's a good sign that he's already back on the field learning the new offense under offensive coordinator Todd Monken. The third-year wideout has made steady progress since Lisfranc foot surgery last November ended his 2022 season after only six games. The 23-year-old averaged 19.0 yards per catch last year on 15 receptions for 285 yards and two touchdowns. The former first-rounder has had his issues with injuries, but Bateman has shown big-play potential when healthy. The Ravens have a few more capable receivers around him in 2023, but Bateman still figures to be quarterback Lamar Jackson's top target.
