Qadree Ollison Has Earned More Carries
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said that running back Qadree Ollison was physical in last Thursday's loss to the New England Patriots and has "earned the right for more carries." Ollison saw a much bigger workload in Week 11 with Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) out, so it remains to be seen if he'll actually continue to see more touches if Patterson is able to return this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars with Mike Davis also likely to remain involved to some degree. Ollison's nine rushing attempts were his first carries of the season, and he averaged only 3.78 yards per carry last Thursday. The fact that the 25-year-old is even a candidate for a bigger role just speaks to Atlanta's lack of options on offense in 2021. Ollison might be worth a pickup for those desperate at the RB position in deeper leagues, but don't expect much if Patterson returns this weekend.
