Philip Rivers Throws For 333 Yards In OT Win
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers completed 73.5% of his passes in Week 1 to lead the Chargers to a win over the Colts in overtime. Rivers finished with 333 yards, three TDs, and one interception in a game that was a lot closer than expected. Rivers was slinging the ball all around the field, but he got some help from his receivers too, like when running back Austin Ekeler took a screen pass in for a touchdown from 55 yards out. Rivers still looks to be on the same page with Keenan Allen though, and those two can make for a nasty combination for opposing defenses, even if wide receiver Mike Williams' injury turns out to be serious.
