2 years agoChicago Cubs infielder/designated hitter Patrick Wisdom went off in the team's 10-1 rout of the Oakland Athletics on Monday. Wisdom finished the contest 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI, two runs scored and two strikeouts. He's now hitting .288 (15-for-52) on the year with two doubles, a league-high eight home runs, 13 RBI and 13 runs scored in his first 14 games in 2023. The 31-year-old slugger has gone deep in each of his last four games and is as hot as they come right now. Wisdom is currently tied for the home run lead with the New York Mets' Pete Alonso. Although he's unlikely to be among the league leaders in homers at the end of the year, Wisdom is proving to be a real asset in the power department for fantasy managers early on.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
